This page explains what information BCN LLC (Blue Collar Nerd, “we” or “us”) collects on bluecollarnerd.com, what we do with it, and who else handles it. We wrote it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email [email protected].
Who we are
BCN LLC runs bluecollarnerd.com and sells the Ultimate ServiceTitan Guide. We’re based in the United States. Our mailing address is 320 Town Center Avenue, Suite C-11, #190, Suwanee, GA 30024.
This policy covers this website. The Guide itself is hosted on membership.io at guide.bluecollarnerd.com, and the privacy policy there covers your member account.
What we collect
What you give us.
- When you sign up for the free preview: your first name, email address and role. We also record the page you signed up on and any campaign tags in the link you used (like utm_source).
- When you fill out another form on the site, like the cheat sheet, the newsletter or a pricebook inquiry: whatever that form asks for, usually your name and email.
- When you buy: Stripe collects your payment details. We see your name, email, billing details and what you bought. We never see your full card number.
- When you email us or chat with the BCN Bot (the chat bubble on the site): what you write.
What’s collected automatically. Like most websites, this one loads tools that record visits: the pages you view, the page you came from, your browser and device, your IP address, and cookie IDs. The tools are listed below.
What’s saved in your own browser. The free preview saves your first name, email and role in your browser’s local storage, so the preview remembers you when you come back. It stays on your device. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
How we use it
- To give you what you asked for: the free preview, the cheat sheet, your purchase, an answer to your question.
- To email you about the Guide. If you sign up for the free preview, you’ll get a handful of emails about it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To tell when someone who signed up later bought, or already has access through their company, so we stop sending them sales emails.
- To see which pages and ads work, and to show our ads to people who’ve visited.
- To keep spam and bots out of our forms.
We don’t sell your email address or contact details to anyone.
The services we use
These companies handle information for us. Each one has its own privacy policy.
- MailerLite sends our emails and stores our email list.
- Zapier moves signups from this site into MailerLite and checks whether you’re already a member.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Membership.io hosts the Guide and member accounts, and plays the free preview videos.
- Rewardful runs our referral program. If you arrive through a referral link, it sets a cookie so the person who referred you gets credit.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). The Meta pixel records visits and actions like signing up or starting checkout. We use it to measure our ads and to show ads to people who’ve visited. When you fill out a form on this site, like the free preview signup, the pixel sends Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of the email address and name you entered, so Meta can match the visit to a Meta account. Meta may combine this with other information it has about you.
- Google. The Google tag (Google Analytics and Google Ads) measures visits and how our ads perform. Google reCAPTCHA checks that form signups come from a person, not a bot. It looks at things like how you use the page, and Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
- DocsBot runs the BCN Bot chat on this site. What you type in the chat goes to DocsBot so it can answer.
- Tally runs some of the forms on this site.
- Jetpack (from WordPress.com) counts page views.
- Search Atlas manages some of the search engine settings on our pages, like page titles and descriptions. Its script sends Search Atlas the address of the page you’re on.
- Cloudflare delivers this site and protects it from attacks.
- YouTube plays some videos on this site and can set cookies when you play one.
We also keep a copy of form signups on this website, so nothing gets lost if one of these services has a problem. We’d share information beyond this list only if the law requires it, or with a buyer if we ever sold the business.
Cookies and your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, but the free preview won’t remember you.
- To control the ads you see: Meta ad preferences and Google My Ad Center.
- To opt out of Google Analytics: Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- To stop our emails: click unsubscribe at the bottom of any of them.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you’re on our email list or a customer, and after that for as long as we need it for taxes, accounting or a dispute. If you ask us to delete it, we will, unless the law says we have to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. Depending on where you live (California, the EU or the UK, for example), local law may give you other rights, and we’ll honor them.
Kids
This site isn’t meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
